I live in a college town in No.Carolina.I am 57 y/o African Am. woman researching a move to Vancouver?

HELP!!! Any ideas... On racial issues, jobs, apartments, etc. From what I see of the area it's beautiful. I briefly lived in Montreal P.Q. LOVED IT!!! But....too cold.....Originally from San Francisco California, I want to try living on the west coast again. However, not in the U.S., personal reasons. Thanks for any input.....Creole
