If the Montreal Screwjob never happened, Would professional wrestling be any different than it is today?

I think the biggest difference would be Owen Hart would still be alive. If it were not for the Screwjob, Bret would have stayed with the company and Owen would not have been put in the Blue Blazer gimmick. And if he never had been made into the Blue Blazer,he would never have been put into the position which led to his death.
